アイドルグループ「AKB48」の横山由依さんが12月10日、東京都内で行われたLINEの記者発表会に登場した。8日に開催された「AKB48劇場10周年記念特別公演」で、高橋みなみさんからAKB48グループ総監督を継承したばかりの横山さんは「メンバーやファンの力を借りて、今までのAKB48を超えられるように頑張りたい」と改めて意気込みを語り、決意を新たにした。
発表会には渡辺麻友さん、加藤玲奈さん、柏木由紀さんも出席。横山さんの決意を受けて、渡辺さんは「（横山さんを）そばで支えながら、新たな時代、歴史を作る気持ちで頑張りたい」、加藤さんも「横山さんについていって、支えながら全力で頑張りたいと思います」と抱負。NGT48も兼任する柏木さんは「新しいこともどんどんチャレンジしていきたい」と意欲的に語っていた。
この日行われたのは、LINEが提供する新しいライブ配信サービスの発表会。10日からスマートフォン向けアプリ「LINE LIVE」をスタートすることなどが明らかにされ、第1弾としてAKBのメンバーが出演する番組が同日から配信することが発表された。
