今回は、新企画「星の茶の間」をお届けします。

私が手がけている古民家「ikikata atelier」に、さまざまな分野で活躍するクリエイターの方々をお招きして、最近のことや、ものづくりへのこだわり、考え方や生き方などを、ゆったりとお伺いしていく企画です。

記念すべき第1回目のゲストは、スタイリストの百々千晴さん。

久しぶりの再会ということもあり、ファッションの話から旅の話まで、話は尽きません。

今回は、そんな百々さんと「最近買ったもの」をお互いに紹介しながらトーク。
選んだものには、それぞれの好みやセンスが自然と表れるもの。

「どうしてこれを選んだんだろう？」
「どんなところにときめくんだろう？」

買い物をするときの視点や、ものを選ぶときに大切にしていることなど、お互いの違いも楽しみながら、いろいろなお話をさせていただきました。

Today, I’m excited to introduce my new series, “Hikari no Cha no ma.”

At “ikikata atelier,” the traditional Japanese house I’ve created, I invite inspiring creators from a variety of fields to talk about what they’ve been up to lately, their creative passions, and their perspectives on life and work—all in a relaxed and intimate setting.

Our very first guest is stylist Chiharu Dodo.

Since it had been a while since we last saw each other, we had so much to catch up on—from fashion to travel, and everything in between.

For this episode, Chiharu and I each brought along something we’ve recently purchased and shared the stories behind our choices.

The things we choose naturally reflect our individual tastes and sensibilities.

“What made me choose this?”
“What was it about this that sparked joy?”

We talked about our different perspectives when shopping, what we value when choosing things, and the little details that make us excited—while enjoying the differences in our tastes and ways of seeing the world.

I hope you enjoy our conversation along with the warm, relaxed atmosphere of the traditional house.
