音楽の教科書でもおなじみのこの歌は、米国ミュージカル『サウンド・オブ・ミュージック（Sound of Music）』（1959年初演）のマリア先生が子どもたちに音の名前（ドレミ…）を教える場面の劇中歌。日本でよく知られた「ドはドーナツのド…」の訳詞は1961年、ジャズ歌手のペギー葉山によるものです。映像は映画版『サウンド・オブ・ミュージック』（1965年・米国）より。
