Sanae is one of the more unique members of the group as she would remain a part of the group from her entrance to their eventual breakup and of course, being the only Enka singer out of the group. This made sense as she loved singing Enka since she was a child despite not really wanting to pursue a professional career out of it at the time. She would join a CBS/Sony-led Enka championship show although while she didn’t win, the label saw her potential and let her vocally train for a while. As the opportunity went up, she decided to become a member of Onyanko Club a while later and then went on to pursue a solo career. Released on this day almost forty years ago was that said single and is considered quite a milestone as it became the first Enka single ever to top the Oricon single chart at the time. Despite that, she wouldn’t exactly remain in that state of success for a long time, eventually leaving the label in 1990. She has had moderate success since then and is still active as an Enka singer as she constantly releases music per year. Please enjoy! 🙂
早苗は、グループの加入から最終的な解散までグループの一員であり、もちろんグループの中で唯一の演歌歌手であるため、グループの最もユニークなメンバーの1人です。 彼女は幼い頃から演歌を歌うのが大好きでしたが、当時はプロとしてのキャリアを追求するつもりはありませんでした。 彼女はCBS/SONY主導の演歌選手権番組に参加することになったが、優勝はしなかったものの、レーベルは彼女の可能性を見出し、しばらくボーカルのトレーニングをさせた。 機会があったので、彼女はおニャン子クラブのメンバーになることを決意し、その後ソロとしてのキャリアを追求しました。 約40年前のこの日に発売されたあのシングルは、当時オリコンシングルチャートで1位を獲得した初の演歌シングルとなったため、かなりのマイルストーンとみなされている。 それにもかかわらず、彼女はその成功状態を長く続けることはできず、最終的に 1990 年にレーベルを去りました。それ以来、彼女はそれなりの成功を収め、毎年コンスタントに楽曲をリリースし、今でも演歌歌手として活動しています。 お楽しみください！ 🙂
