山形県鶴岡市、月山神社本宮に歌を奉納するという使命を賜り、8月の初週に月山登山にチャレンジしました。
人生初体験となる登山、厳しい天候に見舞われながらもアタック開始。
果たして山頂に辿り着けるのか…?!!?!

【月山神社本宮】
月山は海抜1,984m、世界でも珍しい半円形のアスピーデ型火山で、頂上の「おむろ」に月山神社があり、月読命を祀る。約千年前につくられた延喜式神名帳にのる名神大社で古い時代から朝廷を始め庶民の信仰が篤く、山形市には南北朝時代の貞治7年の銘のある月山結集碑があり、一村百余人の登拝講中のあった事を伝えている。もと東北唯一の官幣大社で、国の殊遇を受けた。
神社は水を司る農業神として又航海漁澇の神として広く衆庶の信仰をあつめている。

Gassan is 1,984 meters above sea level, and is a semi-circular Aspide-type volcano, which is rare in the world. It is a Meishin Taisha shrine that was created about 1,000 years ago and is listed in the Engishiki Jinmyocho, and has been worshiped by the common people since ancient times, including the Imperial Court. , It tells that there was a lecture at the shrine with more than 100 people in one village. Originally, it was the only Kanpei Taisha shrine in the Tohoku region and received special treatment from the country.
The shrine is widely worshiped by the common people as an agricultural god who controls water and as a god of sailing and fishing.
