费城管弦乐团:       
费城管弦乐团是美国五大交响乐团之一,拥有110年的光辉历史。它是中国人民的老朋友,还是一支不断刷新历史的乐团。85年前,它成为第一个以电气录音技术录制唱片的乐团;73年前,它成为第一个为故事片演奏配乐的乐团;62年前,它成为第一个进行全国电视转播的乐团;37年前,它成为首批登陆中国的国外交响乐团;22年前,它成为第一个完整出版贝多芬乐曲CD的美国乐团。

2010年5月4日和5日,费城管弦乐团将在指挥大师夏尔·迪图瓦的执棒下,为乐迷送上两场国际品质的精彩演出。这也是迪图瓦2008年接任该团首席指挥后的首次访华演出。迪图瓦将用神奇的指挥棒,为您调色出拉威尔、柴科夫斯基、柏辽兹、斯特拉文斯基的神奇交响世界。

夏尔·迪图瓦是当今国际乐坛声名显赫的指挥大师,以演绎法国作曲家的作品见长。

他素有乐团“调色师”的美誉,激情与天才是他音乐生涯的真实写照;他犹以演绎拉威尔、德彪西、柏辽兹和比才的作品为经典;他熟知各个著名乐团的“性格”与“气质”;他指挥蒙特利尔交响乐团长达25年,赋予其至高的地位;他迄今录制了超过200张唱片,拿走了几乎所有最被青睐的国际大奖,包括格莱美“最佳歌剧唱片奖”和法国“金唱片奖”;他和着音乐的节奏,漫步于世界的各个角落,足迹遍及195个国家和地区。

夏尔·迪图瓦早年曾在日内瓦、威尼斯和坦格伍德接受音乐教育。1959年起成为瑞士罗曼德管弦乐团和洛桑室内乐团的客席指挥。1964年,迪图瓦受卡拉扬之邀,成功地指挥了维也纳国家歌剧院演出西班牙作曲家德·法雅的芭蕾舞剧《三角帽》。此后,他被任命为伯尔尼交响乐团的助理指挥,两年后升任该乐团的音乐指导和首席指挥。从1977年到2002年,迪图瓦成为继奥托·克莱姆佩雷尔和祖宾·梅塔之后,蒙特利尔交响乐团的艺术总监,1981年他就已带领乐团成功完成全球巡演,足迹遍及美洲,欧洲和远东,并在世界上各主要音乐厅演出,包括纽约卡内基音乐厅和好莱坞碗型剧场。乐团在他的带领下水平和声望迅速提高,成为世界级乐团。1996年,迪图瓦接任东京NHK交响乐团首席指挥,1998年成为其艺术总监。2008年,他接任费城管弦乐团首席指挥。1988年,法国政府授予其艺术与文学勋位。1998年,迪图瓦荣获加拿大最高荣誉的嘉奖四等骑士勋章。 


小提琴:阿拉贝拉·施丹巴赫
德国新锐小提琴演奏家。1981年出生于慕尼黑。2004年在巴黎,与内维尔·马里纳爵士指挥的法国广播爱乐乐团成功合作演出,使她迅速成为国际舞台上的新星。
       
2006年6月,施丹巴赫的首次纽约独奏音乐会被《Strad》杂志称为“本月的特别亮点”。次年11月,她以独奏家的身份与克里斯托夫·多赫纳伊指挥的芝加哥交响乐团合作演出了西贝柳斯的小提琴协奏曲。这场音乐会在《MUSO》、《Strad》、芝加哥《TIME OUT》以及《芝加哥》等杂志上都有专题报道。《纽约时报》曾这样评价:“平衡了诗意与激情,……,她的演奏具有精致的技巧和多彩的音色。”
      
阿拉贝拉·施丹巴赫演出的曲目广泛,除古典和浪漫主义时期的主要协奏曲外,她还演奏贝尔格、普罗科菲耶夫、肖斯塔科维奇和斯特拉文斯基等现代作曲家的作品。同时,她还与许多著名的国际乐团有过合作,如圣彼得堡爱乐乐团、马林斯基剧院交响乐团和伦敦爱乐乐团等。

柴科夫斯基      D大调小提琴协奏曲,作品35号
       
作于1878年,是柴科夫斯基最著名的作品之一,与贝多芬的D大调、门德尔松的e小调、勃拉姆斯的D大调小提琴协奏曲并称为世界四大小提琴协奏曲。这首乐曲不但充分发挥了主奏小提琴绚烂的演奏技巧,展开了色彩丰富的管弦乐,创造出了比以往的小提琴协奏曲更新鲜的韵味,而且含有俄国民谣的地方色彩,独特的充满哀愁的优美旋律,是一部格调新颖、独特的作品。它歌唱青春,歌唱生命,表现了俄罗斯人民的乐观主义精神。这首乐曲虽然最初不受世人欢迎,然而历史最终证明这是一首绝无仅有的音乐杰作,在音乐舞台上久演不衰,成为许多著名小提琴家的保留曲目。
 
       
斯特拉文斯基      火鸟组曲
《火鸟》是斯特拉文斯基作曲的二幕芭蕾舞剧,作于1909至1910年;1910年6月25日由皮尔涅指挥在巴黎歌剧院首演。舞剧剧情取自俄罗斯神话:王子伊凡出猎迷路而误入魔王卡斯特切依城堡旁的果园,他捉住了一只羽毛闪光的火鸟,后又放了它,火鸟赠他一支火红的羽毛,作为需要帮助时相助的酬物。后来伊凡在火鸟的帮助下消灭了魔王,解救了被囚禁的少女和化为石头的青年,并与公主结成了夫妻。作品首演获得空前成功。演出结束后,前来观看演出的德彪西会见了这位年轻的作曲家,并表达了自己对《火鸟》的赞赏。从此,斯特拉文斯基便获得了国际声誉。斯特拉文斯基曾根据舞剧《火鸟》的总谱改编了三部组曲。
 
       
斯特拉文斯基      春之祭
二幕芭蕾舞剧,斯特拉文斯基作曲,并由友人柳里霍夫等人撰写剧本,尼金斯基编舞。1913年5月29日由蒙特指挥俄罗斯舞蹈团在巴黎香榭丽舍剧院首演。这是作曲家的一部不朽的音乐作品。所谓“春之祭”,是指古俄罗斯祈求丰年所举行的一种祭礼,祭祀中常把贞洁少女作为祭礼献给太阳神,以求大地回春,万物兴盛。在暮色神秘的气氛中,异教徒们围着即将用作祭品的少女舞蹈,当黑暗中显现出祖先的灵魂时,静默不动的少女开始颤动身躯,跳起“神圣之舞”。死神驱使她越跳越狂烈,直致精疲力竭倒地而死。最后人民高举这纯洁无瑕的躯体走向祭坛。
      
该部舞剧由“大地的赞颂”和“献祭”两幕构成。前幕共八段音乐,后幕共六段音乐。这是一部表现原始、神秘、粗野远古先民气质的、具有强烈的创新精神的现代音乐作品,致使初演时因狂野的节奏遭到了听众的强烈反对,以至引起警察局前来干预。

The Philadelphia Orchestra
Founded in 1900, The Philadelphia Orchestra has distinguished itself as one of the leading orchestras in the world through over a century of acclaimed performances, historic international tours, best-selling recordings, and its unprecedented record of innovation in recording technologies and outreach. Since 2009, Charles Dutoit has taken the baton of Chief Conductor. Mr. Dutoit has a long-standing relationship with the Orchestra, having made his debut with the ensemble in 1980.
 
Throughout its history, The Philadelphia Orchestra has introduced an unprecedented number of important works as world or American premieres, including Barber's Violin Concerto, Mahler's Symphony of a Thousand, Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances, Schoenberg's Gurrelieder, and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Its illustrious tour history includes a number of landmarks events. In 1936 the Orchestra became the first American orchestra to undertake a transcontinental tour, in 1949 it toured Great Britain as the first American orchestra to cross the Atlantic after World War II, and in 1973 it became the first American orchestra to perform in the People's Republic of China. The Orchestra also boasts an extraordinary record of media firts. It was the first symphonic orchestra to make electrical recordings (in 1925), the first to perform on the soundtrack of a feature film (Paramount's The Big Broadcast of 1937), the first to appear on a national television broadcast (in 1948, on CBS), and the first major orchestra to give a live cybercast of a concert on the internet (in 1997). 
 
The Philadelphia Orchestra annually touches the lives of more than one million music lovers worldwide through its performances, publications, recordings, and broadcasts. A major winter subscription season is presented in Philadelphia each year from September to May, in addition to education and community partnership programs. The Orchestra presents a series of concerts each year at New York's Carnegie Hall, in addition to a regular appearance at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The Orchestra also reaches audiences around the world during its yearly three-week tour.
 
 
Chief Conductor: Charles Dutoit
Chief Conductor of The Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Royal Philharmonic, beginning in 2009, and music director of the Verbier Festival Orchestra, Charles Dutoit regularly collaborates with the world's leading orchestras. Since his debut with The Philadelphia Orchestra in 1980, Mr. Dutoit has been invited each season to conduct all the major orchestras of the United States, including those of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland. He has also performed regularly with all the great orchestras of Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic and Amsterdam's Concertgebouw Orchestra, as well as the Israel Philharmonic and the major orchestras of Japan, South America, and Australia.
 
Since 1990 Mr. Dutoit has been artistic director and principal conductor of The Philadelphia Orchestra's summer festival at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Between 1990 and 1999, he also directed the Orchestra's summer series at the Mann Center, and led them in a series of distinctive recordings. From 1991 to 2001, he was music director of the Orchestre National de France. In 1996 he was appointed principal conductor, and in 1998 music director, of the NHK Symphony in Tokyo. For 25 years (1977 to 2002), Mr. Dutoit was artistic director of the Montreal Symphony.
 
When still in his early 20s, Mr. Dutoit was invited by Herbert von Karajan to lead the Vienna State Opera. Mr. Dutoit has since conducted regularly at Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. He also led productions at the Los Angeles Music Center Opera and the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Mr. Dutoit has recorded extensively for Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, Philips, CBS, Erato, and other labels with American, European, and Japanese orchestras. His more than 170 recordings, half of them with the Montreal Symphony, have garnered more than 40 awards and distinctions. In 1991 Mr. Dutoit was made an Honorary Citizen of the City of Philadelphia. In 1996 the government of France made him Commandeur de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. He has also been invested as an Honorary Officer of the Order of Canada, the country's highest award of merit.
 
 
Violin: Arabella Steinbacher
Born in Munich in 1981, Arabella Steinbacher began studying the violin at the age of three. At nine, she became the youngest violin student of Ana Chumachenko at the Munich Academy of Music. In 2001, she won the sponsorship prize of the State of Bavaria and in the same year she was awarded a scholarship by the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation.
 
Since her extraordinary and unexpected debut in Paris in March 2004, when she finished the Beethoven's Violin Concerto with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France under Sir Neville Marriner, Arabella Steinbacher has become a fast-rising violinist on the international concert scene. In November 2007, Steinbacher made her debut as soloist with a major American orchestra, performing the Sibelius' Violin Concerto with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under Christoph von Dohnányi. Her New York recital debut in June 2006 was called "a particular highlight of the month" by The Strad magazine. The New York Times wrote, "Balanced lyricism and fire... among her assets are a finely polished technique and a beautifully varied palette of timbres."
 
Arabella Steinbacher has already appeared with leading international orchestras including the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre, The London Philharmonic, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestra of the Bayerische Rundfunk, Deutsches Sinfonie-Orchester Berlin, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Danish Orchestra and the others. Steinbacher received the German Record Critics Award in 2005. In 2007, she received an ECHO-Klassik Award (considered to be the German equivalent of the Grammy Awards) for Young Artist of the Year for her album, Violino Latino.
