The Tramp goes to Alaska to look for his fortune in gold, he helps McKay to overpower a fugitive Larsen. But after the Tramp leaves, Larsen fights back and McKay loses his memory. The next summer, the Tramp rejoins McKay who regains his memory and they finally find the gold mine, but the Tramp only has a lady on his mind…

The Gold Rush has been listed in the US Library of Congress’ registry in 1992, and selected as 100 Greatest Films by American Film Institute.
