Mahler Chamber Orchestra
The Mahler Chamber Orchestra (MCO), with its unusual structure, internationality and outstanding quality, is an ensemble unique to the present time. Its non-traditional organization and system make it a model for the future of the European orchestral landscape.

Composed of musicians from 20 different nations, and independent of external sponsorship, the MCO plays operas and concerts all over the world, in cities as well as at exclusive festivals from the North Pole to the Red Sea. The orchestra was founded in 1997 by the musicians themselves and Claudio Abbado.

Daniel Harding
Born in Oxford, Daniel Harding began his career assisting Sir Simon Rattle at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, with which he made his professional debut in 1994. He went on to assist Claudio Abbado at the Berliner Philharmoniker and made his debut with the orchestra at the 1996 Berlin Festival.

In 2002, he was awarded the title “Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” by the French Government.

Mojca Erdmann
Born in Hamburg, she started taking violin lessons at the age of six, while also singing in the children’s choir of the Hamburger Staatsoper and taking up private singing lessons.  Erdmann studied singing with Hans Sotin at the Cologne College of Music, where she also studied violin. She continues to work intensively with Ingrid Figur.
