Regret not sending his eldest son to school, farmer Kwan (Lo Wei) ignores his wife's objections and sends his youngest daughter Songo (Kitty Ting Hao) to school in the city. Taller and older than the others in class, Ngo is at first ridiculed by her classmates as a country girl. An excellent athlete, Ngo eventually becomes a star in school as she wins countless awards in various sports competitions.

However, Ngo's athletic success has come at the sacrifice of her grades, prompting her decision to leave the sports world behind. Produced by MP & GI to promote its latest starlet, Beauty Parade uses the school and sporting venues as platforms for Kitty Ting Hao to showcase her sweet, playful and lively persona at its charming best.
