Born into a wealthy family, painter Man-au (Roy Chiao) leaves his home because of a feud with his father. With the support of his girlfriend Mei-li (Xie Jiahua), Man-au manages to open his own studio, although Mei-li only did so to get to his family fortune. One day, Manau is hired to paint an advertisement demanding a model who is kind, warm and pure. After a long search, he discovers Ping (Lucilla You Min), the daughter of the neighborhood store owner.

In the course of creating the painting, Man-au and Ping would share a fantastic journey to love. Lucilla You Min plays an angel among ordinary people who exudes extraordinary beauty with her kind and gentle nature. A filmmaker who can let the poetry of his images speak for themselves, Evan Yang ends the film with a shot of Man-au and Ping gazing at the ocean together - a simple, but gorgeous happily-ever-after image that can express far more than a thousand words.
