SIDEFFECT

SIDEFFECT

Performing bands

SIDEFFECT
SIDEFFECT is a Deathcore band from Taiwan founded in 2008. The original members of SIDEFFECT were Guitarist Han and Vocalist Bat. A year later, they released an EP "For Dead Never End" and received many positive feedbacks. After several band member changes, Guitarist Matt, Bassist Wu-Pin, Drummer Joey and Guitarist Jacky joined SIDEFFECT. Their latest EP "Desire World" was released in 2012. SIDEFFECT's "NOTHING TO DECLARE" tour brought them to Hong Kong and Guangzhou and many other places in 2013. They are now working on a brand new EP, which will be published in 2014.

Luktomo

Luktomo

Luktomo
Luktomo was formed in 2009. They have produced many songs that music lovers are fond of, for example, "Escape Alive" and "WeAreLuktomo". In 2010, their first EP "RECORDS" was released and drawn overwhelming responses. With obsessive life performance, Luktomo become an active indie band in Guangzhou and one of the representative bands of heavy music in Southern China.

Evocation

Evocation

Evocation
Formed in 2002. Evocation has always been led by Tomy Chiu, the vocal and guitarist. Members kept changing in the past 11 years. And the current lineup is fixed since 2010: Tai Tam (Guitar), Chung Chow (Bass), Man Leung (Drums), Ho (Synth). The latest album "Abracadabra" in Chinese was released in 2013. It was made to condemning the degenerating world in through a blend of black death metal and Chinese traditional superstitious ritual elegy.

The debut album "Take Your Soul" was released in 2008. It is very dark and cold. It is strongly influenced by North European black metal with lyrics written to fulminate the hypocrites. Hong Kong was a borrowed city as a colony for more than a hundred years and was returned to China since after 1997. The tyrannized city is getting lost in its identity. Evocation is looking for a utopia in its music.

King Ly Chee

King Ly Chee
King Ly Chee was formed in May of 1999 fueled by the fire and passion of a form music called hardcore. In 1999, the music climate of Hong Kong was an unhealthy world of cover bands passing themselves off as "hardcore" or "metal" while belting out tunes by Limp Bizkit. The founder of King Ly Chee, Riz, had enough and one day, he decided that it was time that someone set the record straight on what "hardcore" truly implies. He set off on the mammoth task by releasing a bilingual zine called Start From Scratch that included interviews, essays and CD reviews of world-renown punk, metal and hardcore bands. As the wheels were turning for Start From Scratch, Riz sat back and realized that words were not enough, kids in Hong Kong needed to hear, feel and see "hardcore" in action to fully absorb the impact. King Ly Chee was the result.

This band has tirelessly continued down this mission for over 12 years now through their sheer determination and passion for hardcore, they have taken their sounds, energy and hearts to surrounding Asian countries, and Europe, helping establish the name "King Ly Chee" as a truly Asian band.
