In real, Richard is a signing CODA whose parents are Deaf. He became the first patron of Deaffest (UK's Deaf Film Festival) in 2012. The documentary is an interview of him shot before his death.

He is aspired to show his talents on the stage in future. One day, he encounters a street dance master CK and asks to be CK's pupil. Can Jason succeed at last? In reality, to count the beats, Deaf dancers usually bare foot for feeling the vibrations from the wooden floor, or notice the direction of choreographer or sign interpreters.
