Jenevieve Chang讲过去和现在的故事-2014《觉》音乐+艺术节

In this special series 'Stories Then and Now' we explore what it's like growing up in Australia through the eyes of Jenevieve Chang.

Taiwanese-born Jenevieve knew from a very early age that she wanted to perform on the stage. Jenevieve's journey is one of many twists and turns. Faced with various challenges along the way, her destiny was one that her parents found hard to accept.

Jenevieve Chang has been creating performances across film, theatre, dance and live art since 2000. As a solo artist her work has been presented internationally in Berlin, Istres, Vienna, Llubljana, Prague and Montreal. In Australia, she has worked with Sidetrack Performance Group, State of Play and Legs on the Wall as well as Chopped Logic, Yellow Earth Theatre, the Lady Greys, Fran Barbe Dance and Benjamin Zephanaiah in the UK. Initially supported by the Arts Council UK, Jenevieve lived in China between 2008-2010 where she co-founded Fifth Wall - a hub of artists developing intercultural performance languages. She also worked as Dance Captain of Shanghai's first Vaudeville-style Cabaret club, Chinatown.
