[TRANS] #3.1-2013香港艺穗民化节

[TRANS] Collective is a series of performative experiments that aims to embrace the diversity of culture and linguistic in theatre. This specific project [TRANS] #3.1 is a multilingual performance which draws on the stories of the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. While storytelling and human voice are the prime tools to present each performer's identity and emotion, they also question the role of language in racial stereotypes and social status. The performance is devised in the practice of Verbatim Theatre. It also applies the use of audio visual, sound and physical theatre to challenge audiences' theatrical experience.

[TRANS] Collective was initiated by the Hong Kong born, Melbourne based independent theatre maker Felix Ching Ching Ho in Aug 2013. The first project [TRANS] #2.1 was collaborated with Australian artist Robert Smith and Malaysian artist Jasmine Lee. It was performed in Vietnamese, Mandarin, Indonesian, Thai and Korean as part of Mudfest, a biannual arts and cultural student festival at the University of Melbourne.
