Kaatje Vermeire (1981) works with materials she finds in flea markets and old bookshops. In her collages, she refashions old and new, strange and familiar objects into unusual but striking images. In 2008, she received a Flemish Book Feather Award for her debut, The Woman and the Little Boy.
