February 2016 Moved to Tokyo from Hokkaido. Started activities as a gravure idol and appeared in numerous gravure magazines including “Weekly Playboy” and “Young Animal”.
Koji Imada, a comedian, praised the charm and acted as a model in the gravure serialization of the magazine that Imada shoots.
In the TV Tokyo “Godtan” that appeared, the lovely behavior was noticed and it was named “Japan’s No. 1 shy girl”.
DVD released “I love Namara” in 2016 and “Hanikami Kanojo” in 2017.
Received the Beauty Award at “Miss iD 2017”.
In 2017, she appeared in the movies “Not in the textbook! 3” and “Not in the textbook! 4”.
In June 2018, the name was changed from Anna Hongo to Anna Hongo, but in September 2019, she returned to Anna Hongo.

お笑い芸人の今田耕司がその魅力を絶賛し、今田が撮影する雑誌のグラビア連載でモデルを務める。
出演したテレビ東京「ゴッドタン」では、その愛くるしい行動が注目され、“日本一の恥ずかしがり女子”と命名された。
DVDは2016年に「Namara大好き」、2017年「はにかみカノジョ」を発売。
「ミスiD2017」では美人賞を受賞した。
2017年映画「教科書にないッ! 3」「教科書にないッ! 4」に出演。
2018年6月、本郷杏奈から本郷杏へ改名したが、2019年9月に本郷杏奈に戻った。
