Miho Nakayama 中山 美穂 – Catch The Nite
Phonographic Copyright ℗ – 1988 King Record Co. Ltd
This album was recorded on a virgin 1988 US Maxell XL-II Cassette Tape using a 1990 made in Japan Yamaha KX-530 2-head cassette deck. Bias was set to + 1.5% and levels peak around +4dB. No Dolby noise reduction was used or needed, although this deck does feature Dolby HX Pro headroom extension. Speed was calibrated and tape path cleaned prior to recording. Source for the recording was CD playback on a 1993 made in Japan Yamaha CDC-635 (not pictured in this video.) Catalog # of this CD is K32X-240.
This tape was ripped using the same KX-530 connected via the front headphone jack to the line input of my PC. Again, speed was checked and tape path cleaned prior to ripping. I included blank audio at the end of the cassette to provide a complete and realistic listening experience.
I am aware that there is a very faint ground level hum on the audio output, which is an internal fault of this deck. However, it is so low that it does not bother me. Just enjoy the music!
Video was recorded on a Samsung Galaxy S9.
