About This Programme
Winner of the prestigious Paganini International Violin Competition in 2006, "the violin wizard" Ning Feng mesmerises audiences and critics wherever he plays. Gramophone commented that he was able to bring the great virtuoso Paganini's "most extreme flights of fancy to life with exceptional beauty and precision". Back in 1999, the late Lord Menuhin already foresaw that Ning had the "real talent and musicianship to go very far". The award-winning violin star (who has also won prizes in the International Tchaikovsky Competition, Jacques Thibaud Violin Competition and other major competitions) will perform the great Violin Concerto by Brahms with Hong Kong Sinfonietta,
conducted by Yip Wing-sie.
