活动介绍:
『后窗』所投射的是对深港两地均非常普遍和显著的一个城市现象的思索,尝试为市民提供一个与众不同角度去审视、挑战及反省香港的城市公共环境设计及发展方向;作品利用了香港住宅建筑(不论是豪宅或公屋)中最常见的、一式一样的、并由深圳工厂大量复制生产的建筑元件-『预制混凝土外墙凸窗组件』(俗称窗台)组成一个装置空间,让观者在欣赏西九龙醉人海景之际,同时体验一种独特的视觉感受,由此诱导观者对西九文化区的未来规划及建筑设计作大胆预言,并进一步反思及探讨城市发展的未来。

 

展出人介绍:
叶卓琳,史颖怡,李姵仪及陈瑶华,在职建筑师,香港中文大学建筑系硕士毕业,活跃参与本地艺术项目,展览,设计比赛及社区事务, 致力以艺术及设计融入生活,作品旨在以多元化角度唤起公众对社区环境的关注。
 
近作包括:香港科学馆户外雕塑 -「鸣帆」(叶卓琳及史颖怡);2009年西贡区议会公众艺术计划入围作品「微笑的树」(叶卓琳,史颖怡及李姵仪)。2006年香港国际机场入口欢迎标志概念设计比赛第三名作品「光·透·对比」(叶卓琳,史颖怡及李姵仪)。

The Projecting Window

The Projecting Window, is designed to be a discourse of current conditions of cross-border residential/ property development and the construction industry. Comprising of a group of precast bay window facade panels, the indispensable architectural element, designed to emphasize monotony in residential building facades, the proposed installation will be arranged and erected on the external grassland near the coastline of the West Kowloon Promenade to create a novel spatial experience for the viewers. It will function not only as a simple landscape installation but also as an introspective representation of prominent urban phenomenon, projecting a view in speculation of the future of the generic architecture and urbanism and hence, provokes the conventional perception of the built environment of the city.
 Sophia Ip, Haynie Sze, Edith Li and Eva Chan are practicing architects graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with solid experience in the local art projects, exhibitions, design competitions and community projects. Their works aim to integrate art and design into everyday life and to inspire the general public in concerning of the community and the environment with different perspectives.
 
Recent projects include: “Whistling Aloft”, an outdoor sculpture in Hong Kong Science Museum (Sophia Ip & Haynie Sze); “Smiling Up High”, short-listed sculpture for Sai Kung District Council Public Art Project in 2009 (Sophia Ip, Edith Li & Haynie Sze) and “Light. Transparency, Contrast”, the second-runner-up of Hong Kong Entrance Icon Conceptual Design Competition organized by HK Airport Authority in 2006 (Sophia Ip, Edith Li & Haynie Sze)
