U.S. Singer-songwriter Jane Lui meets local preserved Shandy Gan for a night of original music.

Jane is classically trained in piano and voice, yet her voice is somehow husky and soulful. Her cultural and musical influences have produced a sound that has critics eliciting such names as Joni Mitchell, Fiona Apple, Cat Power, and Rufus Wainwright. She has opened for Jason Marz, Vienna Teng, Jay Nash, Jim Bianco, Kate Earl, Tom Brousseau. Her second record, Barkentine, was Best Recording Nominee in San Diego Music Awards 2008.

Shandy Gan
Shandy, an evolving singer-songwriter, formed her own Jazz+Pop band year ago named 'Platter'. Having performed at various cafes, bars and places, it's her firsttime throwing an official gig at Backstage! Joint with some of her bandmates from Platter, she will touch you with the sensuous songs she wrote.
